Week 20. Summary

Well, I’m back. Returning to the daily practice after a vacation was kinda rough but after a week it feels as usual again 🙂

This week I’ve been practicing only 6 levels of rhythm and ear training. The hardest one for me was the third bar of level 4. I even had to decrease the speed to 80 bpm in order to wrap my head around it. Other patterns were not as hard at all.

I also watched Module 23, so the next week practice will be on it. Anyway, here’s the video.

The goals for this week were:

  • [Done] 6 levels of rhythm at 120 bpm
  • [Done] Daily ear training starting from all intervals

My goals for the next week:

  • Hey Jude chords, singing and melody at the original speed
  • Two more songs from the list playing and singing

Day 134. I’m back

I was on a vacation so missed 8 days of practice. Now the weeks are shifted to one day forward, which is okay. And I won’t count those missed days ’cause why not. Now it’s the time to slide back into daily practice. And to start things off I did some ear training.

Ear training

14 intervals. Now I’m starting with all 14 intervals at once and decided to do 100 per day instead of 300.

Week 19. Summary

I have a plane in 10 hours, so this summary will be short 🙂

The goals I set myself this week were quite over reasonable, so in order to reach them I had to increase the speed by 10 bpm daily while playing as 8th notes. So it was pretty tough and the result at final speed is not very clean. But I managed to film some pretty decent attempts on camera, so the goals are now complete.

I won’t have any guitar on a vacation so I’ll continue ear training and start practicing 6 levels of rhythm from the Module 22. I really hope that the Internet will be there and I’ll be able to post something for the next week. Don’t wanna fail the challenge because of this vacation.

Anyway, here’s the short video with this week results.

The goals for this week were:

  • [Done] Mixolydian scales as 16th notes at 90 bpm
  • [Done] Major scales (A string) as 16th notes at 90 bpm
  • [Done] Major scales in 3rds as 16th notes at 75 bpm
  • [Done] Major scales in 4 note pattern as 16th notes at 75 bpm
  • [Done] Major pentatonic scales as 16th notes at 90 bpm
  • [Done] Major pentatonic scales in 3rds as 16th notes at 75 bpm
  • [Done] Major pentatonic scales in 4 note pattern as 16th notes at 75 bpm
  • [Done] Minor pentatonic scales as 16th notes at 90 bpm
  • [Done] Minor pentatonic scales in 3rds as 16th notes at 75 bpm
  • [Done] Minor pentatonic scales in 4 note pattern as 16th notes at 75 bpm
